People often want the best of what is available. It is our nature as humans to like stuff that works and works well. Nowadays, it isn’t uncommon to find that people want the best of what gaming has to offer. That doesn’t just extend to the games themselves, but the same technology that it comes on. But what are the best pieces of gaming technology today?
Perhaps some of the biggest highlights to come out in the past year are unavailable ones. The NVIDIA RTX 3000 series and the AMD Radeon 6000 series both launched in 2020 but were plagued with bots and scalpers gobbling up all of the supplies and trying to make their own money off of the cards. For those that managed to get one of these cards, they found extremely impressive GPUs. Unfortunately, the supply programs have still not been sorted out, even months after the initial release of both brands.
It would also be impossible to talk about the most prominent gaming tech without mentioning the console releases. Both the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X released in 2020 to excellent receptions. At least, those that got them rated them both highly. Like the GPUs mentioned above, the consoles also found themselves in such high demand that the supply lines could not keep up. There aren’t many exclusives (Miles Morales n PS5 is one) to play on these consoles, but the backward compatibility means that those who did manage to acquire them have at least something to play. They wait for others.
Perhaps the biggest thing that people have to look forward to in 2021 is the availability of all the exciting gaming tech released in 2020. Once these supply problems eventually subside, people will be enjoying some of the best and most revolutionary gaming tech seen in recent years.
